  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  FRESH BENUE ATTACK AS SUSPECTED HERDERS KILL ONE ON AGAGBE-NAKA ROAD

One person has been killed in a renewed attack by suspected armed herders along the Agagbe–Naka–Agatu axis in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.


Security sources disclosed that the incident occurred on January 27 at about 6:01 p.m. on the Agagbe–Naka road.


According to the sources, military personnel alerted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Naka Division through a distress call, reporting that a resident of Naka, identified as Iorsugh Genabe, was attacked and killed while travelling along the route by suspected herder bandits.


The DPO was said to have immediately mobilised a patrol team, alongside other tactical units, to the scene of the incident.


Police authorities later confirmed that the victim’s body was recovered and deposited at the Agagbe mortuary for autopsy.


Sources further revealed that efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the perpetrators, adding that the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the case for discreet investigation.


Meanwhile, security presence has been reinforced in the area to forestall further attacks and restore confidence among residents.
