 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. prophet Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has been remanded in police custody for two weeks following the adjournment of proceedings at the Adentan Circuit Court. 


The court further ordered that the suspect undergoes psychiatric evaluation at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital ahead of his next court appearance 


Investigations into the matter continue.
