An employee at Thornton's Convenience store in Louisville, Kentucky called police after a bizarre incident last week.
According to the employee, a man entered the store and poured himself a cup of coffee before grabbing some donuts.
The man then flashed a silver badge at the employee as he exited the business. In effect, indicating that he did not need to pay for the items due to working in law enforcement.
Authorities were able to identify the man as James Sullivan. They report this is not the first time Sullivan has attempted to pull of this low stakes heist.
James Sullivan was arrested on charges of impersonating an officer and theft. James reportedly really enjoys free donuts, a lot.
He looks like he's thinking about donuts in his mugshot.
