Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. KIANNA UNDERWOOD, FORMER NICKELODEON CHILD STAR, DEAD AT 33.(PHOTO).

Kianna Underwood, a former Nickelodeon child star known for her roles in "AI| That" and"Little Bill," died in a hit-and-run accident in Brooklyn at 33. 

The incident occurred on January 16, 2026, when Underwood was struck by a black Ford SUV while crossing the intersection of Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue , The driver failed to stop after the collision and continued driving for nearly a block with Underwood's body trapped underneath. Authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing . 

Underwood rose to fame as a child performer on Nickelodeon's popular sketch comedy series "All That," where she appeared alongside future Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson. She also voiced the character Fuschia Glover in the animated series "Little Bill"' and performed on stage in the musical"Hairspray The hit-and-run incident has sparked renewed attention to pedestrian safety in New York City, with many calling for stricter safety measures , Underwood's death is a tragic reminder of the importance of road safety and accountability in such incidents.
