 LAGOS RE-INTRODUCES MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE …Governor, Deputy lead State officials to clean up Mushin corridor Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced the re-introduction of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in the State. The Governor said the exercise will hold every last Saturday of the Month between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am but without movement restrictions. He stressed that the exercise would be monitored by State officials with appropriate sanctions to be meted out to erring neighbourhoods and markets. Sanwo-Olu made the pronouncement during a ceremony held in Olosa Bus Stop in Mushin which marked the symbolic flag-off of the monthly sanitation.  LASURA INAUGURATES TECHNICAL PROJECT MONITORING TEAM FOR EFFECTIVE SERVICE DELIVERY


The Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) has taken a significant step towards enhancing its service delivery with the inauguration of its Technical and Project Monitoring Team.


The inauguration ceremony took place during the agency's prayer and thanksgiving session, held on Monday to mark the beginning of full work week in 2026.


According to the General Manager of LASURA, Tpl/Esv. Oladimeji Animashaun, the Technical and Project Monitoring Team is tasked with ensuring that LASURA's projects are executed efficiently and effectively, towards meeting the agency's goals and objectives for sustainable urban planning and regeneration. The team will oversee project planning, implementation, and monitoring for technical standards, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget.


 Animashaun emphasised the importance of the Monitoring Team in driving the agency's mission to transform Lagos State through sustainable urban renewal practices. He commended the Agency's staff for their commitment to excellence, urging them not to relent in their efforts to drive the agency's mission forward.


"With the inauguration of the Technical and Project Monitoring Team, LASURA is poised to take its service delivery to the next level. The agency is committed to transparency, accountability, and excellence in all its operations, and looks forward to working with stakeholders to achieve its goals," he stated


While maintaining that the teams are expected to work closely with other departments within the agency to ensure seamless project execution, the GM averred that the team's establishment is part of efforts to strengthen its capacity to deliver on its mandate and to improve the overall quality of life for residents of Lagos State.


He also charged staff to reciprocate the welfare of the government by improving their productivity and commitment to duty and deliver the goods of the government to the public in terms of quantity of services "Improve on your strength and seek assistance where necessary," said Animashaun. 


Present at the event were the Director, Admin& Human Resources, Mrs Yemi Alaga, other directors, and senior officers.
