 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Mr Ibu's ex-manager urges Enugu government to place the late actor's children on scholarship

 


Ex-manager of late Nollywood actor John Okafor(Mr Ibu), Mr. Dominic Nwuzor, has today, Monday 19th January 2026, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria Abuja, appealed to the Enugu State government to provide scholarships for the late actor’s children. 


Nwuzor reportedly managed late Jon Okafor for more than two decades before his passing in March 2024.


He urged the state government to consider the children of the late actor in its effort to bolster education through targeted scholarships across the state.


Nwuzor said;

"We have appealed for scholarship opportunities for the children, and will continue to do so, so that something can be done.


"His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, is a leader with a large heart and does not take lightly the education of the people, especially the vulnerable ones.


"We hope he will consider offering scholarships to the offspring of the man who used his talent to make the state proud across Africa and beyond".
