No Community Will Be Left Behind In Kaduna, Says Gov. Sani

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive development, declaring that no community will be left behind in the execution of infrastructure projects across the state.

The governor disclosed that his administration is currently constructing 140 road projects spanning 1,335 kilometres across all 23 local government areas of the state, cutting across the three senatorial districts.

He noted that all the road projects were conceived and initiated by his government, while assuring that inherited road projects would also be completed.

Governor Sani made this known on Saturday during the inauguration of the newly asphalted Durum–Kuruntumawa road in Makarfi Local Government Area.

He emphasized that all ongoing road projects are being executed to standard quality.

Recalling his visit to Kuruntumawa in September 2025 for the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, the governor said the completion of the road was a fulfillment of a promise made to the people.

“For many years, this community suffered from poor road infrastructure. Farmers struggled to transport their produce, traders faced increased costs, students undertook unsafe journeys to school, and families experienced delays in accessing healthcare,” he said.

According to the governor, the Durum–Kuruntumawa road represents more than physical infrastructure, describing it as a lifeline that will improve access to markets, schools, and medical facilities.

He reiterated that his administration is fulfilling its campaign promise of rural transformation and inclusive governance, stressing that both rural and urban areas would benefit equitably from government projects.

Governor Sani also revealed that Makarfi Local Government Area was among the 12 LGAs that had not received a single kilometre of road construction in the past 12 years. He added that the abandoned Makarfi General Hospital has been remodelled and equipped with modern facilities, and would be inaugurated in the coming weeks.

Earlier, the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, Dr. AbdulKadir Meyere, recalled that the people of Kuruntumawa had requested the road during the 2023 election campaign. He said the governor had fulfilled that promise, noting that previous administrations had failed to construct the road despite decades of assurances.

Dr. Meyere described the project as a testament to Governor Sani’s integrity, compassion, and commitment to rural development.

In his welcome address, the Chairman of Makarfi Local Government Area, Hon. Garba Sabon Gari, expressed appreciation to the governor, stating that the people of the area would always remember his administration for its developmental strides. He noted that restoration of electricity was the first major intervention in the area, adding that the Durum–Kuruntumawa road was awarded and completed within three months.
