 OPERATION PEACE SHIELD: 6 BRIGADE TROOPS RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIM DURING ONGOING OPERATIONS Troops of 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, under Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have successfully rescued a kidnapped victim following sustained, robust, and aggressive search and rescue operations within the Brigade Area of Responsibility. On 27 January 2026, troops deployed at Dogon Gawa, Taraba State, while conducting ongoing search and rescue operations, sighted and rescued a man who had been abandoned in the bush by his captors. The victim was later identified as Mr Ghali. Further investigations revealed that Mr Ghali and another victim, Mr Simon Oluchukwu, were abducted on 11 January 2026 at Gbise Village, Mbayonga of Benue State. During the abduction, their driver was sadly killed by the kidnappers. PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES KANO GOVERNOR ABBA YUSUF ON HIS BIRTHDAY

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sends heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, Governor of Kano State, on his 63rd birthday on January 5, 2026.

 

The President highlights Governor Yusuf's integrity, modesty, humility and commitment to public service, exemplified in his administration of Kano State.

 

Yusuf was elected governor of Kano in 2023 on the New Nigeria Peoples Party platform. He was previously the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport in the state from 2011 to 2015 during the administration of Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso.

 

President Tinubu affirms that Governor Yusuf's regime in Kano, the bastion of progressive politics in the North, re-echoes the commitment to grassroots development and ameliorating the plight of the Talakawas as championed by the late Mallam Aminu Kano in the state.

 

The President remarks: "Governor Yusuf's leadership experience, particularly his years as commissioner, managing strategic portfolios in Kano State, may have prepared him for the kind of infrastructural changes now witnessed in the state.

 

"He has embarked on urban renewal programmes, building bridges and road networks, including the five-kilometre roads in each local government in the state.

 

"I also understood that his declaration of emergency in education has engendered a marked improvement in the performance of Kano students in NECO exams."

 

The President wishes the Kano Governor a long life and more years of his transformative leadership in the state.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
