Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. SHANNEN DOHERTY’S EX-HUSBAND, PHOTOGRAPHER KURT ISWARIENKO, HAS FILED COURT DOCUMENTS IN LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR COURT CHALLENGING ASPECTS OF THEIR DIVORCE SETTLEMENT. (PHOTO).

Shannen Doherty’s ex-husband, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, has filed court documents in Los Angeles Superior Court challenging aspects of their divorce settlement.

Recent reports from mid-January 2026 indicate that Iswarienko's legal team argues the agreement was handled in the wrong court and questions the court's authority to enforce it after Doherty's passing in July 2024. They contend the marriage ended with her death, so the case should have been closed without formal entry of the settlement.

This follows claims from Doherty's estate and the trustee of the Shannen Doherty Family Trust that Iswarienko has not met certain terms, including financial responsibilities, listing a shared property in Texas for sale, and returning personal items. The couple was married for 11 years before Doherty filed for divorce in 2023. The settlement was signed by Doherty on July 12, 2024, and by Iswarienko the next day.

This is an ongoing legal matter in the court system, with both sides presenting their arguments as the process continues. All individuals involved are entitled to due process as the details are reviewed further.
