 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. The Abia State Government has noted with interest the statement attributed to the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial Zone, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, vowing to capture and deliver the Abia State Government House to his party, the Abia APC in the 2027 General Election. 



While acknowledging Senator Kalu's entitlement to project and support his younger brother as the Abia APC gubernatorial candidate in the 2027 general election, he must be reminded that the people of Abia will decide who governs them as they won't be swayed by attempts to turn the State into a family fiefdom where a single man and family wants to retain and produce a Senator, a Governor, Commissioner representing Abia State in the National Assembly Service Commission and an Ambassador.


As the ruling party in Abia State, our great party, the Labour Party has over 3 strong, vibrant and prepared aspirants ready to contest for the ticket to represent Abia North Senatorial Zone in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
