The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. 15 TRADERS DIE IN AUTO CRASH AFTER ATTENDING WEDDING IN ENUGU

At least 15 traders have reportedly lost their lives in a fatal road accident while returning to Umuahia, Abia State, after attending a traditional marriage ceremony in Enugu State.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, February 15, 2026, and has thrown the Bonny Street business community in Umuahia into mourning. The victims were said to be traders who had travelled to Enugu to honour the wedding rites of a colleague.

According to eyewitness accounts, the vehicle conveying the traders was involved in a ghastly crash during the return journey. Several passengers were said to have died on the spot, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The injured victims were rescued and taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, where they are currently receiving treatment.

As of the time of filing this report, authorities are yet to officially confirm the cause of the accident or release a comprehensive statement on the incident.

Meanwhile, families and colleagues of the deceased have been left devastated by the sudden loss, as investigations continue.
