  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  16 Abducted In Late-Night Attack On Southern Kaduna Community


Residents of Bomjok community in Kurmin Gwaza, Kwaturu Ward of Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, have raised alarm following a late-night attack by suspected bandits that resulted in the abduction of 16 persons.


The incident reportedly occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2025. 


According to local sources, the attackers operated in the community for over two hours before leaving with their victims.


Among those abducted are women, men, and children, including a nursing mother, three 13-year-olds, a 10-year-old child, and a four-month-old baby.


The victims have been identified as:


Patience Obadiah (woman)


Mama Genesis (woman)


Blessing Daniel (nursing mother)


Patience Adua (woman)


Jennifer Adamu (lady)


Dina Adua (lady)


Zinom Adamu (man)


Justice Yakubu (man)


Abel Edward (man)


Daniel Peter (man)


Tukur Peter (man)


Tabitha Adamu (13-year-old girl)


John Adua (13-year-old boy)


Thank God Joseph (13-year-old boy)


Dominic Markus (10-year-old boy)


Stephen Daniel (4-month-old baby)


A community source said the abductors are believed to be demanding ransom for the victims’ release.

However, families of those kidnapped reportedly lack the financial means to meet any such demand.


As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official confirmation regarding their whereabouts or any rescue operation. 


Residents are calling on security agencies and relevant authorities to urgently intervene to ensure the safe return of the victims.
