 Prince William and Kate Middleton bring George, Charlotte and Louis to Commonwealth Games for first Scotland public outing Prince William and Kate Middleton brought their three children to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, marking the siblings’ first official public appearance in Scotland. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 44, attended the sporting event on Saturday, Aug. 1, during their summer break with Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. While in Scotland, where William and Kate are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, the family spent time with Team Wales athletes and their families. The couple also visited SportsAid, an organisation that supports young athletes. Kate has served as patron of the organisation since 2013.  A Tennessee Children’s Hospital Has Been Renamed After Dolly Parton


Dolly Parton has officially partnered with East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville, which will now carry her name as the Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital. 


Established in 1937 and operating as a nonprofit since 1952, the hospital is recognized as a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center and serves as the leading provider of pediatric care in the region. 


With more than 400 physicians and nearly 2,200 staff members, it treats infants, children, and teens regardless of background or financial means, averaging over 435,000 patient visits each year.


Parton emphasized her lifelong connection to East Tennessee, saying that growing up in the mountains taught her the importance of caring for one another. 


She expressed that every child deserves exceptional medical care delivered with compassion and love, and she sees her involvement as a way to bring hope and healing to families. 


Hospital CEO Matt Schaefer noted that this collaboration represents more than a name change, describing it as a strengthened mission to ensure world-class pediatric care for every child who enters the facility.


Although the financial details of Parton’s contribution were not disclosed, hospital leaders described the partnership as transformative for generations to come. 


Parton encouraged the public to support the hospital through donations, stressing that collective effort can achieve limitless outcomes for children. 


Her dedication to children’s wellbeing is longstanding through initiatives like the Dollywood Foundation, the Imagination Library, her children’s book Coat of Many Colors, and her album I Believe in You, she has consistently invested in education, literacy, and joy for young people.
