 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Noah Wyle honored as ICG Publicists’ television showperson of the year

Actor and producer Noah Wyle is set to receive the 2026 Television Showperson of the Year Award from the Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG). The honor will be presented at the 63rd annual ICG Publicists Awards luncheon on March 13 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The award celebrates “professional impact, artistic excellence and special spirit defined as showmanship,” according to the ICG. Wyle currently serves as actor, co-writer, director, and executive producer on the HBO series The Pitt. For his work on the show, he earned top accolades for lead male actor and drama series at the 2025 Emmy Awards, 2026 Golden Globes, and 2026 Critics' Choice Awards, along with two 2026 Actors Awards nominations and recognition for the full cast.

Wyle is also widely known for his portrayal of Dr. John Carter on NBC’s ER, which earned him five consecutive Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe nominations. He became the show’s longest-serving cast member, appearing in 254 episodes. His other credits include Pirates of Silicon Valley, The Librarian franchise, Falling Skies, and films such as A Few Good Men, Donnie Darko, and Enough.

Previous recipients of the Television Showperson of the Year Award include Kathy Bates, Norman Lear, Quinta Brunson, Shonda Rhimes, and Bob Hope.
