 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. ‎Born in 1945-2025,

‎His Royal Highness, Chief Thomas Tule Jam Gbinde, known as Ter Ikyor I, was a revered 2nd Class Chief and the paramount ruler of the Ikyor people in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria. He was a highly respected, long-serving traditional ruler known for his dedication to peace, unity, and the preservation of Tiv cultural heritage.


‎ He served as a traditional ruler for several decades, establishing himself as one of the oldest and most influential traditional rulers in the Tiv nation.

‎Appointment: He was appointed as the head of Abara in 1984.

‎Elevation: In 1991, he was elevated to the position of a 2nd Class Chief, known as Ter Ikyor.

‎Leadership Style: Chief Gbinde was characterized as a leader with integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to justice, often described as a "sage" and a "bridge between the past and the future".


‎Role in Community: He was instrumental in mediating conflicts, promoting development, and fostering harmony within Konshisha and the broader Tiv traditional council.

‎Key Initiatives: He supported his community by encouraging cooperation with government projects, such as the National Population Commission’s (NPC) Enumeration Area Demarcation in 2021.

‎Death and Legacy

‎Passing: His Royal Highness passed away in 2025.

‎Burial: He was laid to rest in his residence in Tse Agberagba, Konshisha LGA, with a well-attended burial ceremony to honor his service.
