 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. CP Sani-Omolori Condoles CHANNELS TV, Media Professionals


The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, extends his deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Kani Ben, a cameraman with Channels Television, who passed away on 15th  February, 2026, following a road accident while covering the North-East Development Commission's (NEDC) program.


The accident occurred on 6th February, 2026, involved 13 journalists and resulted in Ben suffering severe spinal cord injuries. He passed on while receiving treatment at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi.


CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc(+) commends the deceased's passion and commitment to journalism and keeping the citizens informed. He also offers condolences to Channels Television and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).


The Police Command assures the public of its continued support for journalists and commitment to ensuring justice is served in cases of harm to media personnel.
