 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  DJ ORLANDO HOSPITALISED AFTER BRUTAL ATTACK AT OTUKPO WEDDING OVER PAYMENT DISPUTE

A popular disc jockey, DJ Orlando, is receiving treatment in a hospital after being attacked at a wedding in Otukpo, following a disagreement over extra payment.

Reports indicate the incident occurred when DJ Orlando refused to perform at an after-wedding party, explaining that the original agreement with the couple covered only the main ceremony. Attempts to renegotiate reportedly escalated into violence.

Sources say members of the bride’s family allegedly assaulted the DJ with broken bottles and other dangerous objects, leaving him with serious head injuries. He reportedly ran into the bride’s father’s room for safety but was pushed out and left vulnerable to further attacks.

He was eventually rescued and taken to a hospital. The bride and groom, the latter reportedly from Cross River State, allegedly left Otukpo shortly after the attack to avoid questioning.

The incident has sparked outrage among residents and rights advocates in Idoma land, who are calling on security agencies to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Benue State Police Command has not yet issued an official statement on the attack.
