 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  El-Rufai’s Media Aide Alleges Security Agents Attempted Arrest, Seized Passport at Airport


Muyiwa Adekeye, Media Adviser to former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, stated today that security agents attempted to arrest El-Rufai upon his arrival on a flight from Cairo. According to Adekeye, El-Rufai declined to accompany the agents without a formal invitation, after which they took his passport from an aide.


The full statement from Adekeye reads:  

"Security agents today attempted to arrest Malam Nasir elrufai as he arrived on a flight from Cairo. Malam El-Rufai declined to follow them without a formal Invitation. They however snatched his passport from an aide."
