EMMA STONE'S LATEST APPEARANCE SPURS 'SCARILY THIN' COMMENT OVER HER NOTICEABLE WEIGHT LOSS. (PHOTO).

Emma Stone's latest appearance spurs 'scarily thin' comment over her noticeable weight loss

Emma Stone’s appearance at the BAFTA Film Awards drew attention not only for her elegant halter‑neck gown but also for her noticeably slimmer frame. While the actress was nominated for Best Actress for her role in Bugonia, much of the conversation online centered on her weight.

Observers on social media expressed mixed reactions, with some praising her look and others describing her appearance as “disturbingly thin.”

The discussion intensified when actress and activist Jameela Jamil weighed in, criticizing what she described as a “scarily thin” beauty standard on display at the ceremony. Jamil argued that such fragile ideals are harmful, especially for impressionable audiences, and urged women to embrace strength rather than frailty.

She framed eating properly as an act of resistance against patriarchal pressures, warning that the normalization of extreme thinness undermines women’s ability to protect themselves and fight for their rights.

Stone herself has previously addressed speculation about her weight. In a 2014 interview, she explained that genetics and stress make it difficult for her to maintain weight, and she rejected claims that she was caving to industry pressure.

While rumors of plastic surgery have circulated in recent months, she has not confirmed undergoing any procedures, and her past comments suggest her physique is more likely the result of natural factors and personal challenges rather than cosmetic intervention.
