 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  FG Sets To Accelerate Ranching Policy


Minister of Livestock Development Idi Mukhtar Maiha says, his ministry is set to accelerate National Ranching Policy to improve livestock production, reduce insecurity and ensure economic prosperity.


He disclosed this during an engagement with stakeholders in Livestock production held in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.


Aisha Abubakar-Yahaya has the reports that 

despite huge potential in livestock production, Nigeria was unable to maximise the benefits of this agricultural sector due to lack of coordination, untill year 2024 when a dedicated ministry was created by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.


Through the Ministry of Livestock Development, the Minister said, the federal government is implementing policies to increase livestock contribution to the national GDP to 74 billion dollars from the  current 32 billion, one of which is the creation of National Livestock Centres.


The centers are expected to optimize livestock production along value chains, guarantee food security and stem the tide of farmers herders crisis in the country.


The Minister at attended poultry summit and visited some Animal Feed Mills in Kwara state where he stressed the need for synergy among stakeholders to position Nigeria's agric sector for sustainability and global competitiveness..
