 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Fubara vs Rivers Assembly: I’ve given lawmakers directive to obey Tinubu – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday disclosed that he has already directed the Rivers State Assembly to “do the needful” by obeying the President’s directives amid the face-off with Governor Sim Fubara.


Wike expressed believes that they will carry out his directives and that of President Bola Tinubu without hesitation.


The Minister stated this in Abuja, adding that he expects the governor to fulfill his part of the agreement to ensure that Rivers people no longer hear this kind of discord.


“I have told the Assembly to do the needful and obey Mr President, which I know they will not hesitate to do. I also believe the governor will carry out his own part to make sure this is the final time Rivers people will hear this kind of discord,” he said.
