 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  NGA PARTNERS NGO TO EMPOWER 15,00 CREATIVE ARTISTES


The National Gallery of Art (NGA), has partnered with the Social Good Fund Africa to launch an Innovation Hub and AI Media Toolkit, aimed at empowering 15,000 Nigerian creatives. 


Our arts and Culture correspondent Ngufan Shaaji Ugwuanyi reports that The initiative focuses on building an AI-powered business incubation labs that supports artists, filmmakers, and other creatives with tools, mentorship, and financial access to improve profitability and efficiency.


The event also featured key stakeholders and highlighted the collaboration as a strategic move to boost the Nigerian creative economy through AI technology.
