 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  PLATEAU STUDENT, ISAAC SATLAT, BRUTALLY MURDERED IN PRETORIA WEST 



Tragedy struck a Nigerian student from Plateau State, a 22-year-old Isaac Satlat was brutally murdered while working as an e-hailing driver in Pretoria West.


The incident occurred on February 11, after Isaac picked up passengers who allegedly attacked him inside his vehicle. Dashcam and CCTV footage circulating online reportedly show that he was strangled and later shot, his body left inside the car.


South African police have arrested a female suspect in connection with the killing. She is set to appear before Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court, facing charges including hijacking and murder. Authorities say at least one other suspect is still at large.


Isaac, a bright student preparing to graduate, had planned to continue his education in Canada. The shocking killing has sparked outrage within the Nigerian community both at home and abroad, with calls for justice and better protections for Nigerians working overseas.


Police have appealed to anyone with information on the incident to assist with the investigation.
