 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Ronaldo buys 25% stake in Spanish side Almería


Cristiano Ronaldo has made a significant move into football ownership, acquiring a 25% stake in Spanish second-tier club Almería.

This investment marks a new chapter for the 41-year-old Portuguese icon, who has been based in Saudi Arabia since 2022, playing for Al-Nassr. Ronaldo's CR7 Sports Investments subsidiary completed the deal, making him CO-Owner of the club Almería, currently sitting third in Spain's second division, aims to secure promotion to La Liga under Ronaldo's ownership. 

The club has been under Saudi ownership for over six years, with Mohamed Al-Khereiji taking over as owner and president in 2025. Ronaldo expressed his ambition to contribute to football beyond his playing career, stating, "It has been a long-held ambition of mine to contribute to football, beyond just on the pitch" .


Ronaldo, 41, said he aims to support the club’s growth, while the consortium praised his Spanish football experience. Almería is currently third in the league with 15 games remaining.
