 Sydney Sweeney cuts business ties with ex-fiancé who allegedly claims he 'made' the actress.


Sydney Sweeney is entering a new chapter both professionally and personally. Nearly a year after ending her engagement to producer Jonathan Davino, the actress dissolved their joint company, Fifty-Fifty Films LLC, and launched a new entity under her sole leadership, Fifty-Fifty Films, Inc., where she serves as CEO, CFO, and Secretary. 


Sources claim Sweeney felt “used” by Davino, ultimately compensating him after he allegedly claimed credit for her success. Their split, which became public in March 2025, marked the end of a seven-year relationship.


Despite personal challenges, Sweeney’s career has surged. Her starring role in Paul Feig’s adaptation of The Housemaid was a massive box office hit, grossing $385 million worldwide, and she is set to reprise her role in The Housemaid’s Secret. 


She also has a slate of upcoming projects, including Euphoria season three, a cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2, and leading roles in adaptations like Edith Wharton’s Custom of the Country and Netflix’s live-action Gundam. 


Additional projects with Warner Bros., Amazon MGM Studios, and Studiocanal further cement her as one of Hollywood’s busiest talents.


Off-screen, Sweeney has been linked to music executive Scooter Braun since attending Jeff Bezos’ wedding in Venice last summer. 


While their relationship is described as casual and laid-back, insiders say the pair are “still going strong.” Sweeney herself has admitted she’s cautious about settling down again, preferring to focus on her career while navigating public scrutiny. 


Despite recent backlash, she’s reportedly in a better headspace and continues to balance her professional momentum with her evolving personal life.
