 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. The newborn arrived weighing 7 pounds and measuring 19.5 inches, bringing immense happiness to the family. Alyssa shared the exciting news on social media soon after the birth, expressing her gratitude for the kind messages and support from friends and fans during this special time.


A week later, on February 17, 2026, the couple exclusively shared the first public photo of their little one with People magazine. The adorable image was also featured on The View that day to celebrate the new addition. This heartwarming milestone highlights a beautiful new chapter for the political commentator and her family.
