 TROOPS APPREHEND SUSPECTED TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, FAMILY OF ISWAP FINANCE CHIEF SURRENDERS, RECOVER LOGISTICS ITEMS Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have continued to sustain pressure on  terrorists through series of intelligence-led operations that resulted in the arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators, the surrender of the family members of a senior ISWAP commander, and the recovery of terrorist logistics items. In one of the operations conducted on 27 July 2026, troops of 5 Brigade arrested six ISWAP collaborators in Damasak, Borno State. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly generating funds for the terrorist group through the procurement and sale of cattle at designated markets in Gubio, Damasak and Ajuwango. Items recovered from the suspects included one Volkswagen Golf vehicle, vehicle keys, four mobile phones of different brands, cow meat and the sum of ₦317,950.00. ‎A FORMER SENATOR REPRESENTING ANAMBRA NORTH, EMMANUEL ANOSIKE, HAS EMERGED AS CHAIRMAN OF THE ANAMBRA STATE CHAPTER OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS.(PHOTO).

 ‎A former senator representing Anambra North, Emmanuel Anosike, has emerged as Chairman of the Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress.

‎

‎Anosike, who also chairs the Anambra Imo River Basin Development Commission, was elected through a consensus arrangement at the party’s state congress held at its headquarters in Awka on Tuesday.

‎

‎Announcing the outcome, the Chairman of the State Congress Committee and Returning Officer, Williams Kayoda, declared the consensus list of State Executive Committee members, which he said was endorsed by about 2,100 delegates through voice affirmation.

‎

‎Kayoda named Chief Chidi Orji as Vice Chairman and Obi Okpala as Secretary, among other executive members, stating that the process complied with Articles 14 and 20 of the party’s constitution, which provide for consensus in the election of officers.
