 South Africa says US misrepresented its policies after visa curbs South Africa's foreign ministry said on Wednesday that it ‌had noted with concern U.S. visa restrictions on some people from South Africa announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio a day earlier. The foreign ministry added in a statement that ⁠the U.S. announcement aligned with "the mischaracterisation of South Africa's domestic policies by fringe groups". "We maintain that challenges in our bilateral relations with the USA can only be resolved by constructive engagement through state actors on both sides of the diplomatic channel not unilateral acts," the statement said, Reuters reported. Trump has repeatedly criticized ‌South ⁠Africa since the start of his second term for what he falsely claims is the racial persecution of its white minority, citing affirmative action laws aimed at ⁠addressing the inequality that has persisted since apartheid. AN ARMED AND DANGEROUS SUSPECT IS CURRENTLY BEING SOUGHT IN ILLINOIS. (PHOTO).

 An armed and dangerous suspect is currently being sought in Illinois. 


A 16-year-old Illinois girl was fatally shot in her home over the weekend.


Authorities in Cook County, Illinois, are searching for a person of interest they described as armed and dangerous, after the Saturday morning homicide of 16-year-old, Lily Bova.


Lily had her life taken away from her in the upscale apartment where she lived in unincorporated Glenview, Illinois.  The incident occurred around 11 a.m. and Lily passed away a short time later at Advocate General Lutheran Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.


Authorities are being tight-lipped on the circumstances leading up to the shooting. They haven't provided a picture or name for the suspect. 


Lily was a sophomore at Glen Brook South High School. 


The school has provided grief counselors for students as they cope with the loss of their peer.
