 ARTMA Holds Road Sign Recognition and Familiarisation Exercise to Strengthen Traffic Safety Compliance   By Obianuju Isima   The Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA), in a video released on June 20 via its official Facebook page, has conducted a road sign recognition and familiarisation exercise aimed at improving compliance with traffic regulations, strengthening road safety awareness among motorists and other road users across the state.   The training focused on practical identification and correct interpretation of standard traffic signs, with the goal of addressing recurring violations linked to poor understanding of road signage.   Officials of the agency explained that the initiative is part of broader efforts to reduce road traffic crashes, ease congestion and promote orderly and disciplined road use in both urban and semi-urban areas.   Participants were guided through the major categories of road signs regulatory, warning and info...

BAUCHI POLICE ARRESTED AN INSIDER KIDNAPPING/CULPABLE HOMICIDE SUSPECT


The detectives of ‘C’ Divisional Headquarters, Bauchi, led by the DPO, arrested a suspect following a report on 21st March at 1100hrs by Salisu Yunusa of Nasarawa Madina Quarters that his 4-year-old son, Yunusa Salisu, went missing on 18th March at about 0930hrs. The father disclosed that he received a call on 19th March from a private number demanding ₦500,000 ransom and paid ₦100,000 without seeing the child.


Investigation led to the arrest of Rabiu Safiyanu, a 20yrs old of the same address, a friend of the complainant’s younger brother with free access to the house. He confessed to taking the victim, strangling him, dumping the body at Warinje Hills, and demanding further ransom.


Police recovered the decomposing corpse with marks of strangulation and a rope suspected to have been used in the act. The Officer in Charge of Police Clinic certified the victim dead. The body was photographed and subsequently released to relatives and buried on site for public health safety.


Suspect is in custody. CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+) directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to takeover case, ensure timely discreet investigation and prosecution. He further charged residents to always observe people around them and report any suspicious activities to Police.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
