 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. The planes have brought in technical ​equipment as well as dozens of physicians, engineers, lab experts and construction work...

 BENUE DEPUTY GOVERNOR SYMPATHISES WITH VICTIMS OF WEDNESDAY AUTO CRASH 


The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Sam Ode,  has expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate road accident that occurred on Wednesday along  Makurdi–Lafia road involving members of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  on their way to Lafia,  Nasarawa State, for the North-Central Zonal Convention of the party.


A statement by the Deputy Chief Press to the Deputy Governor, Ior Ikyereve indicates that the tragic incident has brought immense grief not only to their families but also to the party and the entire State. 


It describes the development as "heartbreaking", noting that the victims were committed party members who were on a journey to participate in an important party activity.


The Deputy Governor extends his heartfelt condolences to the victims, their families, the leadership and members of the APC in Ogbadibo Local Government Area and all those affected by the tragic incident", he stated. 


The statement further commiserates with those who sustained injuries in the accident and wished them a speedy and full recovery. He called on road users to exercise caution and adhere strictly to traffic regulations, especially during long-distance travels.


The Deputy Governor assures that the Government of Benue State stands in solidarity with them, their families and all party members at this difficult time.
