 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  FIRST LADY MEETS US SPECIAL ENVOY FOR BEST FUTURE GENERATIONS IN WASHINGTON


Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu says  promoting education,  using every necessary incentive,  is one of the pivotal programme of the Bola Tinubu administration. 


She shared this insight with the US Special Envoy for Best Future Generations, Charles Harder in Washington. 


President Bola Tinubu she notes, is working hard to build a formidable foundation that can be built upon, with quality education on the front burner.


While informing the Special Envoy that a nation-wide campaign to promote child nutrition, through her office is set to be launched in a few days, the First Lady also stated that books must be retained in schools despite technological advancement,  citing the need to broaden the knowledge base of students without disruptions or interference from the social media and related channels.


In his remarks, the Special Envoy explained that the meeting was convened to further discussions on the needs and situation of the Nigerian Child, noting that the Best Future Generations, a brain child of First Lady Melania Trump, seeks to address issues  affecting children the world over,  including food, nutrition, health and protection from all forms of abuse.


The meeting was held on the margins of the Fostering the Future Together Global Summit where over 45 First Ladies from various nations participated and discussed extensively the roles and effect of Artificial Intelligence among children and adolescents worldwide-wide.
