 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  Kaduna-Based Cleric, Sheikh Gumi Hails Iran’s Supreme Leader As ‘Lucky Soul’ Who Died In Jihad  


Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi has reacted to reports of the death of Ali Khamenei, describing the Iranian leader as “a lucky soul” who “died in jihad.”


In a post shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, Gumi said Khamenei died “in jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.”


He added that Khamenei’s blood “will fuel the change in the ummah,” stating that the Iranian leader stood firmly for justice and “didn’t hide in bunkers.”


Gumi wrote: “Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: A lucky soul, he died in Jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.”
