 PRESS RELEASE NSC CHAIRMAN HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF PARA ATHLETES IN NIGERIAN SPORTS AS FIRST LADY DECLARES 3RD NATIONAL PARA GAMES CLOSED The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON has declared the 3rd National Para Games closed. Senator Tinubu was represented at the event held at the Velodrome Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja by wife of the Vice-president Her Excellency, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima.  Her Excellency Senator Tinubu applauded the athletes' resilience in the course of the Games.  Kaduna North Senator Resigns From PDP


Senator Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha, who represents Kaduna North in the National Assembly, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).


In a letter dated March 27, 2026, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman of Soba Ward, Mustapha cited ongoing leadership disputes and court cases within the party as his reason for leaving. 


He said the internal conflicts made it difficult to remain an active member.


“The internal crisis, unending court cases, and leadership disagreements have made it increasingly difficult for me to continue my membership and participation,” the senator stated.


He thanked party members for their support over the years. 


Reports suggest he may join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) next.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
