 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Kano APC Unites as Stakeholders Affirm New State Executive


The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has recorded a major milestone as key stakeholders across the state affirmed and endorsed the newly elected State Executive Committee of the party.


This was contained in a statement signed by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Wednesday.


Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, and the former National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, congratulated the new executives and described their emergence as a major step towards strengthening unity and stability within the party in Kano State.


They commended party members for conducting a peaceful and successful congress, noting that the outcome reflects the collective will of APC supporters across the state.


Prominent stakeholders, including Murtala Sule Garo, Tijjani Gwarzo, and Abba Kabir Bichi, alongside other party leaders, pledged their full support to the new State Executive Committee.


The stakeholders emphasized the need for reconciliation, cooperation and collective responsibility in order to reposition the party for future electoral success in Kano State.


They urged the newly elected executives to carry all members along and ensure fairness, transparency and inclusiveness in the conduct of party affairs.


According to them, the unity displayed during the affirmation process sends a strong signal that the APC in Kano State is now more focused and determined to work as one family.


The stakeholders further called on party members at all levels to rally behind the new leadership for the progress and growth of the party.
