Khloé Kardashian recalls 'eating her feelings' during toxic marriage to Lamar Odom: 'I didn't like how that made me feel'

Khloé Kardashian opened up about how her marriage to Lamar Odom negatively impacted her health, sharing that she often coped with emotional abuse and stress by overeating.

On her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, the 41-year-old explained that poor eating habits left her feeling insecure about her body and skin, eventually motivating her to make a change.

She admitted that comparing herself to others, including her sisters, added to the pressure, but ultimately she decided she wanted to feel strong and confident rather than trapped in unhealthy cycles.

After separating from Odom in 2013, Kardashian began working out as a way to reclaim control over her life.

She recalled that the first six months were difficult, starting with solo gym sessions twice a week because she felt embarrassed to train with others.

Over time, she hired a trainer and pushed through the discomfort, focusing less on the scale and more on the mental benefits of exercise. She emphasized that small, consistent steps helped her build confidence and a healthier relationship with her body.

Kardashian also credited therapy with helping her maintain her mental health during breakups and periods of self-doubt.

Talking through her struggles allowed her to process the pain of feeling diminished by others and rebuild her sense of self.

For her, fitness and therapy became intertwined paths toward healing, enabling her to move past the toxic patterns of her marriage and embrace a more balanced, empowered lifestyle.
