 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Michael Jackson biopic Michael to have early screenings ahead of wide release

Lionsgate announced that its Michael Jackson biopic Michael will have limited early-access screenings in premium formats on Wednesday, April 22, two days before the film’s wide release on Friday. Tickets for the one-night-only showings go on sale at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET on Wednesday, March 11.

Jaafar Jackson, the pop star’s nephew, stars as Michael Jackson in the film directed by Antoine Fuqua. Michael explores Jackson’s life beyond his music, following his rise from the Jackson 5 to a solo career that made him the King of Pop. The film highlights both his personal life and some of his most iconic performances, offering audiences a new perspective on his journey and artistry. Nia Long, Juliano Valdi, KeiLyn Durrel Jones, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo also appear in the film.

Kevin Grayson, President of Worldwide Distribution for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said the early-access screenings in IMAX and other premium formats will give fans an immersive experience, showcasing Jackson’s performances and legendary music. He described the screenings as a unique opportunity for audiences to be among the first to experience the movie.
