 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Nikki Glaser to host 2027 Golden Globes for third time

CBS and the Golden Globes announced Wednesday that Nikki Glaser will return as host for the 2027 ceremony. The awards show is set to air live on Jan. 10 on CBS and Paramount+.

Glaser previously hosted the 2025 and 2026 Golden Globes, becoming the first woman to helm the show solo after Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s joint hosting runs. “It’s the greatest gig I’ve ever had,” Glaser said, joking about achieving parity with her sister’s three children in the eyes of their parents. Before her second hosting stint, she told Jimmy Kimmel she struggled with imposter syndrome and wanted to outdo her first performance. CBS took over broadcasting the Golden Globes starting with the 2024 ceremony.
