 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Robert De Niro bursts into tears over Trump dividing the U.S.: 'We have to save the country'


Robert De Niro recently delivered an impassioned message to Americans, urging unity and resilience in the face of political division. Speaking with Nicolle Wallace on the MS NOW podcast The Best People, the actor described former President Donald Trump as a destructive force, insisting that citizens must come together to protect the nation. 


He emphasized that differences among people are secondary compared to the larger challenge of safeguarding democracy, stressing that division cannot lead to victory.


Reflecting on his career and past moments of gratitude, De Niro grew emotional as he reiterated the importance of lifting people up rather than tearing them apart. He rejected the idea of humanizing Trump’s political era, instead framing the current situation as a matter of survival for the country. 


While acknowledging the bleakness of the moment, he also suggested that this crisis might serve as a turning point, compelling Americans to defend their values and preserve the nation’s future.


De Niro’s outspoken criticism of Trump is not new; he has long used his platform to champion progressive causes and challenge the former president’s policies. His remarks have often provoked sharp responses from Trump, who recently lashed out at De Niro and other critics on Truth Social. 


Despite the hostility, De Niro remains steadfast, portraying the struggle as a collective responsibility to ensure that the country endures and thrives beyond this turbulent period.
