NSC CHAIRMAN HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF PARA ATHLETES IN NIGERIAN SPORTS AS FIRST LADY DECLARES 3RD NATIONAL PARA GAMES CLOSED
Ryan Gosling, a three-time Oscar nominee and frequent scene-stealer on Saturday Night Live, is stepping into the world of daytime television.
His upcoming visit to Days of Our Lives was sparked by comments he made on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, where he praised longtime cast member Deidre Hall.
Gosling had highlighted the demanding nature of soap opera acting, noting how performers often memorize extensive dialogue overnight and navigate wildly dramatic storylines.
His admiration for Hall’s portrayal of Marlena, especially during the infamous possession arc, stood out as a testament to her skill.
Hall responded warmly to Gosling’s remarks, sharing an Instagram video in which she expressed gratitude for his recognition of the hard work soap actors put in.
She extended an open invitation for him to visit the set, joking that no one would be possessed during his stay but if they were, she’d keep an eye on him.
Her playful acknowledgment of the show’s supernatural plots underscored the camaraderie and pride within the cast, while also making clear how much Gosling’s words meant to them.
Gosling enthusiastically accepted the offer, calling Hall his “OG acting inspiration” and crediting her performance as more influential to him than legendary roles by Marlon Brando or Robert De Niro.
In his own Instagram video, he promised to thank her in person and assured her he wasn’t worried about any possession storylines, quipping that he’d say a “Hail Mary” before arriving.
With that, Gosling confirmed he’ll be heading to Salem the fictional setting of Days of Our Lives to honor the actress who helped shape his appreciation for the craft.
