 LASG LEVERAGES FASHION, CULTURE TO STRENGTHEN GLOBAL IMAGE AT MISS NIGERIA EVENT   Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its strategic use of fashion and culture as tools for global positioning, as the Miss Nigeria Beauty & Fashion Fair 2026 took centre stage in showcasing the nation’s creative strength and cultural identity. The event, held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, on Sunday, 22nd March 2026, was part of the Miss Nigeria Patrons and Board Dinner / Daily Times Young Fashion Designer of the Year Award, and had in attendance a diverse audience of industry stakeholders, creatives and cultural enthusiasts.  SGF inaugurates Board of PenCom Board

                                   

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume has inaugrated the new board of the National Pension Commission.


During the short ceremony the SGF emphasized the important mandate given to the board, stressing that their role in pension administration must be transparent and worthy of the trust of Nigerians.

Akume while noting the importance that President Bola Tinubu places on the welfare of Nigerians especially after retirement said that pensions would be paid in a timely and dignified manner.
