 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  UK man arrested after car hits seven pedestrians in city center

 Police in Derby arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after a car struck multiple pedestrians in the city center, sending seven people to hospitals.

The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Friar Gate, a busy area known for nightlife in central Derby, a city of roughly 275,000 northeast of Birmingham. Authorities said the man was apprehended a short distance from the scene and remains in police custody.

Counterterrorism officers are assisting local police with the investigation, a standard procedure for incidents of this nature. Chief Superintendent Emma Aldred of Derbyshire Constabulary emphasized that the incident is not being treated as terrorism at this time, and investigators are keeping an open mind regarding the motive.
