 Kufana Youths Apprehend Suspected Transformer Vandals, Hand Over Suspects To Police The Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Hon. Dauda Madaki, has commended the vigilance and bravery of youths in Kufana community following the arrest of suspected transformer vandals in the early hours of Tuesday. The suspects, identified as Denis Reuben of Kurmin Ido, Haruna Ado of Kurmin Kwari, and another individual, were reportedly caught while allegedly attempting to steal transformer coils. Their arrest was carried out by a patrol team led by Mr. Samaila Akawu, alongside the community Youth Leader, Mr. Chris Lingo, and other vigilant youths. Following the arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution. Reacting to the development, Hon.  ‘You took my bank tokens too’ — Hadiza el-Rufai pokes fun at ICPC over wiretapping equipment claim


Hadiza el-Rufai, wife of Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna, has poked fun at the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over claims that wiretapping equipment was recovered from their Abuja residence.


In a post on X on Tuesday, Hadiza reacted to media reports quoting the ICPC as saying electronic magnetic devices capable of tapping conversations were retrieved during a search of the property.


“You forgot to mention that you also took away my bank tokens,” she wrote.


“I swear to God, they are not wiretapping equipment.”
