 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  ‘You took my bank tokens too’ — Hadiza el-Rufai pokes fun at ICPC over wiretapping equipment claim


Hadiza el-Rufai, wife of Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna, has poked fun at the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over claims that wiretapping equipment was recovered from their Abuja residence.


In a post on X on Tuesday, Hadiza reacted to media reports quoting the ICPC as saying electronic magnetic devices capable of tapping conversations were retrieved during a search of the property.


“You forgot to mention that you also took away my bank tokens,” she wrote.


“I swear to God, they are not wiretapping equipment.”
