 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. A TENNESSEE GRANDMOTHER LEFT HER GRANDSON INSIDE OF HER CAR FOR 8 HOURS WHILE SHE WENT TO WORK, RESULTING IN HIS DEATH.(PHOTO).

 A Tennessee grandmother left her grandson inside of her car for 8 hours while she went to work, resulting in his death. 


69-year-old, Linda Stevens, is being charged with the negligent homicide of her 7-month-old grandson.


Authorities report Linda was on her way to work at the Monterey Library on the morning of April 15th. Linda had her grandson with her and was supposed to drop him off at daycare prior to starting her workday.


However, Linda failed to drop the young boy off and went to work at the library at 8 a.m., leaving her grandson strapped into his car seat. 


At 4 p.m., family members contacted Linda, concerned about the child's whereabouts. This led to the heartbreaking discovery of the young boy deceased inside of the vehicle.


Linda Stevens is being held on a $50,000 bond.
