 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. The planes have brought in technical ​equipment as well as dozens of physicians, engineers, lab experts and construction work...

 Bandits Kill One, Kidnap Children, Pregnant Woman In Southern Kaduna


Suspected bandits launched an attack on a community in Southern Kaduna on Wednesday night, killing one person and abducting several others, including children and a pregnant woman.


The incident took place in Zuturung Tintaah village, located in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State. 


According to a family source, the attackers stormed the residence of Mr. Sunday Stephen Michael during the raid.


A 48-year-old neighbour, Mr. Yashim Raphael, was killed in the attack, while about ten people comprising men, women, children, and a pregnant woman, were taken away by the assailants.


The latest incident adds to the growing wave of violence in Southern Kaduna. 


Just days earlier, at least 13 people were killed and 28 others abducted during an attack on a wedding ceremony in Kagarko Local Government Area.


Residents have continued to call on security agencies to take urgent action to curb the increasing attacks and protect communities in the region.
