Ben Affleck gifts Jennifer Lopez his portion of their $60 million mansion for free

Ben Affleck has reportedly transferred his entire ownership stake in the Beverly Hills mansion he once shared with Jennifer Lopez, giving up his share of the property without receiving payment.

According to TMZ, the former couple recently updated their property settlement paperwork, which included a “transfer of property among spouses.” While the document does not detail the terms, sources cited by the outlet say Affleck handed over his full interest in the $60 million estate at no cost.

Representatives for both Affleck and Lopez had not responded to requests for comment at the time of reporting.

The pair purchased the sprawling 38,000-square-foot Beverly Hills home for about $60.85 million in June 2023 while still married. The property features 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, and extensive amenities including a basketball court, and was originally intended to be their shared marital residence.

However, less than a year later, the home was listed for sale as speculation grew about tension in their relationship. Reports at the time suggested Lopez felt the property was too large, while Affleck was said to have never fully settled into the space.

Lopez filed for divorce two months after the listing, bringing further attention to the future of the property.

As the separation progressed, both moved into separate homes. Affleck later purchased a $20.5 million property in the Pacific Palisades, closer to his children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while Lopez acquired an $18 million Los Angeles home for herself and her twins, Max and Emme.

The Beverly Hills mansion remained on the market for months after their divorce was finalized in January 2025, with uncertainty over what would happen to the asset. It was briefly taken off the market last year after both parties reportedly agreed it was not the right time to sell at a loss, describing it as a joint business decision.
