Everyone Say a Prayer - Concern Grows After Megan Thee Stallion Is Hospitalised During Broadway Show

Megan Thee Stallion was taken to hospital on Tuesday night after suddenly becoming unwell during a performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

The rapper, 31, was performing in the Broadway production when the show was briefly interrupted.

In a statement released after the incident, her spokesperson confirmed that she had been transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

“During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated,” the statement read.

The spokesperson added that further updates would be shared once more information becomes available.

Concern quickly spread online after Megan’s hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, posted a message on X from the hospital.

“Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital,” he wrote.

Entertainment correspondent Loren LoRosa, who said she was in the audience during the performance, also shared details of what unfolded inside the theatre.

According to her, Megan appeared in the opening part of the show before the production suddenly paused.

“They just stopped Moulin Rouge! mid show, apologized to the audience and said, ‘stay inside and seated,’” LoRosa wrote.

The performance later resumed with an understudy stepping in for the remainder of the evening.

Megan recently made headlines after it was announced in February that she would be making her Broadway debut in the musical.

Her run in the production began on March 24 and is scheduled as a limited eight-week engagement at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, continuing through May 17.

At the time, the Grammy-winning rapper shared her excitement about stepping into the theatre world.

“Stepping onto the Broadway stage and joining the Moulin Rouge! The Musical team is an absolute honor,” she said in an earlier statement.

She also spoke about embracing a new creative challenge.

“I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively, and theater is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace,” she said.

Megan added that Broadway demanded a different level of focus and preparation, but said she was ready for it.

For now, fans are waiting for further updates on her condition.
