U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. Ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson Excluded from Royals' Easter Gathering After Attending Last Year

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were notably absent from this year’s royal Easter gathering, just a year after joining the family for the same tradition.

King Charles led senior members of the royal family to the Easter Mattins service on Sunday, April 5, at St George’s Chapel within Windsor Castle. The annual outing, a long-standing royal custom, saw family members arrive for the church service, but Andrew and Ferguson were nowhere to be seen.

Their absence comes as both have largely remained out of the public eye in recent months, with renewed scrutiny surrounding past controversies.

Andrew first stepped back from public duties in 2019 following his widely discussed BBC interview about his association with Jeffrey Epstein. Despite withdrawing from official royal work at the time, he had continued to appear at certain family events, including holiday church services and major ceremonies.

That changed further in late 2025 when King Charles stripped his younger brother of his royal titles and honours amid fresh criticism linked to the Epstein case.

The renewed spotlight intensified after additional materials connected to the investigation were made public in the United States earlier this year.

The release drew attention to the extent of previous contact between Andrew, Ferguson and Epstein, including communications after his prison sentence.

It is important to note that being mentioned in such files does not in itself amount to wrongdoing.

The situation deepened when Andrew was later arrested in February as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct in public office.

Authorities are examining claims that confidential information may have been shared during his time serving as the U.K.’s trade envoy.

Also absent from the Easter service were Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who reportedly made separate holiday plans this year with the understanding of King Charles.

The sisters had joined the royals for Easter last year and were also present at the family’s Christmas gathering in December, though without their parents. Reports suggest they are still expected to attend future royal occasions.
