 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo.  Federal Government Reduces Tariffs on Cars, Rice, Palm Oil


The Federal Government has agreed to new 2026 fiscal policy measures reducing import tariffs on some goods like vehicles, rice, palm oil, and sugar with the aim of stimulating economic growth and ease pressure on consumers.


The policy, announced in a circular signed by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, introduces a revised framework that replaces the 2023 fiscal guidelines, signaling a shift in the government’s economic strategy.


According to the government, the tariff reductions are aimed at lowering the cost of essential goods, supporting local industries, and improving trade competitiveness. The move is also expected to help address inflation and increase access to critical commodities across the country.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
