 I Got Married in Secret - Gemma Collins Tells Fans in April Fools Prank


Gemma Collins had fans doing a double take on Tuesday after sharing what looked like a secret wedding photo, only for it to turn out to be a playful April Fools’ Day prank.


The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 45, posted a radiant picture of herself dressed as a bride on Instagram, instantly sparking excitement among her 2.2 million followers.


Alongside the snap, Gemma wrote, “Hey guys, I got married in secret recently. I didn’t marry as the GC, I married as the girl Rami Hawash knows pre fame.”


She continued the playful caption by describing it as “the most beautiful day with the most beautiful people in a room filled with love,” adding that she felt she had to share the news after stories had started to circulate.


For a moment, many fans appeared convinced.


The comments quickly filled with reactions, with some celebrity friends joining in on the joke.


Comedian Seann Walsh wrote, “It was my pleasure to walk you down the aisle.”


Meanwhile, John Grimes also played along, joking that it had been “such a beautiful day.”


While the post may have been a prank, Gemma’s real wedding plans are very much in motion.


She and Rami first began dating in 2011 and enjoyed an on-and-off romance for several years, including an earlier proposal in 2012 before splitting in 2014.


The couple found their way back to each other in 2020 after Gemma’s split from former co-star James Argent.


In 2024, Gemma revealed that Rami had proposed again, and the pair are now genuinely planning to tie the knot later this year.


Speaking recently about the upcoming celebrations, Gemma said she is hoping for more than one ceremony, including one in the UK, another abroad, and a more intimate gathering for close family and friends.


True to her larger-than-life style, she also revealed she plans to wear several different wedding dresses.


Away from the excitement, Gemma has also been candid about the emotional strain of her IVF journey.


Last week, during a preview of her new Sky series, she opened up about how deeply the process affected both her and her relationship.


“My relationship was obviously taking a bit of a hit,” she said. “I was trying to have a baby, my whole world just fell apart.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
