 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali.  LASTMA DECORATES PERMANENT SECRETARY OF WATERFRONT AS SPECIAL TRAFFIC MAYOR


The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Esv. Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka was today decorated as a Special Traffic Mayor by the Lagos State Traffic Management  Authority (LASTMA).


The event, which took place in his office, was conducted by the Team Lead of the Traffic Advocacy and Special Mayor Department, LASTMA, Mr. Jimmy Awoyemi, in the presence of other officials, including the management team of the Ministry. 


Mr. Awoyemi later explained what is expected of the new traffic Mayor, especially using his status and office to support the Agency in improving the traffic situation across the State.


The Permanent Secretary, speaking after his decoration, appreciated the good work Lastma is doing,g commending the Ministry of Transportation and its leadership for the thoughtful initiative. He promised to carry out his duties as a Special Traffic Mayor to the best of his ability and join hands with traffic officials to improve the traffic situation in Lagos State. 


According to him, “The idea behind the initiative is a great one which will help reduce traffic infractions on the road and ensure traffic flow without encumbrances, especially with the help of the Mayors. It will also help in ensuring smooth and efficient flow of traffic within and across the Lagos State Metropolis”.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
